Cela fait bientot 17 ans qu’Innovation parcourt l’Angleterre et l’Europe avec ses soirees, accumulant ainsi les collaborations avec les meilleures organisations locales. Resultat ? Innovation est devenue l’organisation numero 1 dans le monde Drum&Bass et continue de gagner de nombreux Awards au fil des ans, notamment depuis 7 annees consecutives avec « Innovation In The Sun ». Le plus gros festival Drum&Bass dans le monde accueille pendant une semaine les ravers des quatre coins de la planete, qui se donnent rendez-vous pour faire la fete jour et nuit. C’est aussi sans compter ses residences en Allemagne, en Republique Tcheque, a Tenerife ainsi qu’a Amsterdam depuis 5 ans avec le fameux « Innovation In The Dam », ou plus de 4000 personnes se rejoignent le temps d’un week-end.
Pour cette seconde edition a Paris, un line-up regroupant 14 artistes tous aussi divers les uns des autres dans le but de vous presenter une soiree regroupant tout le spectre de la Drum & Bass afin de vous presenter la vibe a l'Anglaise !

Apres avoir gagne en 1989 le championnat DMC Anglais, joue a la radio pirate Phantasy FM il acquiere sa residence a Kiss FM et monte en 1993 le label GANJA. Les hits s’enchainent, pour ne citer qu’eux : le mythique « Super Sharp Shooter» de Dj Zinc, le remix des Fugees de « Ready Or Not » ou encore ceux pour Missy Elliot et Jay-Z….Puis en 1996 c’est au tour du label TRUE PLAYAZ de voir le jour pour s’appeler plus simplement PLAYAZ en 2006 grace auquel il lance la carriere d’artistes tels que Dj Hazard et Original Sin. Une fois de plus ce dj sans qui la scene Jungle/Drum & Bass ne serait pas la meme, nous montrera l’etendu de ses talents, entre mix a 3 platines et scratch tonitruants il sera accompagne du non moins charismatique IC3, ce MC accompagne les plus grands a travers le globe, son flow incomparable et sa puissance ne laisse pas indifferent, le public qui etait la en janvier dernier lors de la premiere Innovation In Paris s’en souvient encore…

BAD COMPANY feat. MC EVIL B(Uk - Bad Taste Recs)

Que dire de nouveau sur Bad Company, tant ce groupe a revolutionne le genre, il ne se passe pas une annee depuis 1999 qui n’ait ete marquee par ce collectif, que ce soit avec ses membre Dj Fresh & D.Bridge partis embrasser des carrieres solo couronnees de succes ou avec Maldini et Vegas au travers de leur label BAD TASTE dont le 3eme album est sorti cette annee. Maldini producteur hors pair est responsable avec Dj Fresh d’un des plus gros titre d&b au monde « The Nine » est aussi un dj de talent, ses sets precis et energiques necessitent un MC ayant plus d’une corde a son arc… Evil B qui debuta en 1996, puis officia sous le nom de B Live dans la scene Uk Garage (au cote des Ukg), ou il enregistra des titres avec Craig David, Elephant Man et Wiley, et gagna ces 4 dernieres annees le Award de Best MC. Ce MC que l’on peut tout aussi bien trouver sur un morceau Grime ou Reggae, puis au micro dans une soiree Uk Funky nous montrera toute l’etendu de son talent appuye de sa voix au timbre si particulier…

DJ PHANTASY feat. MC SKIBADEE(Uk - Easy recs)

Cela fait plus de 21 ans que DJ Phantasy, digne ambassadeur de la Jungle / Drum & Bass sous toutes ses formes, prend part a l’evolution de cette musique. Acteur majeur, il cree en 1995 son label Easy Records et signe les plus grands producteurs et MC’s. Souvenez-vous il y a 3 ans le double album ou plus de 20 artistes parmi les plus prestigieux se partagerent l’affiche sur un projet sans precedent pour y raconter leur « Jungle Story ». Il cree en 2000 sa soiree Devotion, accompagne de son « partner in crime » de toujours, Skibadee, dont le flow inimitable et les prestations uniques lui valent d’etre elu depuis 10 ans meilleur MC D&B au monde. Ils parcourent ensemble les quatre coins du globe, representant comme il se doit Innovation.

Dj BROCKIE feat. MC SHABBA(Uk - Undiluted Recs)

Sans compter qu’il est l’un des plus anciens, Dj Brockie est parmi les plus occupe et respecte dj’s de cette scene. Responsable en partie du succes de la plus ancienne station Radio Drum&Bass, « Kool FM », reputee dans le monde entier, tous les Djs et Mc’s Anglais sans exception sont venus y faire leurs debuts et bon nombre d’entre eux y ont leurs emissions hebdomadaire. En 1998 il cree son label, Undiluted, et y sort quelques uns des plus gros morceaux avec des artistes tels que Chase & Status, Dj Zinc, Pascal, Genotype, Kane ou encore lui-meme accompagne de Ed Solo. Au micro, pour sa premiere venue a Paris, une autre legende, Shabba, depuis plus de 15 ans son nom est regulierement dans le top 5 des MC’s, c’est l’un des meilleurs Lyricists et son energie sur scene est aussi connue que la technique d’Andy C, beaucoup depuis l’ont copie mais ce soir nous vous offrons l’original… !

OLLIE, dj depuis 1994, est responsable du label Direct Recordings qu’il crea en 2001. Le dernier single est disponible actuellement. Ajoutons a cela que ces 2 dernieres annees il fut nomine au national Drum&Bass Awards dans la categorie « Best Breaktrough Dj ». Innovation a investi sur lui en le designant resident de tous ses evenements en Angleterre, Amsterdam et en Espagne. Il joue aussi pour les soirees « Grace » de Grooverider, « Banger & Mash » de Skibadee, Warning, Epidemik, Random Concept Def:Inition, pour ne citer qu’elles. Ce soir avec Phantom, qui fort de son experience acquise depuis 1995 et de ses residences a Kool FM et aux soirees Random Concept ou il officie sur les sets de dj's aussi varies que Kenny Ken, Randall ou Micky Finn, ils vous montreront de quel bois ils se chauffent …

Anakyne a fait son bonhomme de chemin depuis ses debuts en 1998. Il est a l’initiative du crew Infiltration, cree son label Under Pressure Recs, puis un second, New Hope Recs. Il met en place les soirees « Release The Pressure » a l’OPA, ainsi que les « Flavor Of The Month » pendant 3 ans au Batofar, et apres avoir joue aux deux dernieres editions d'Innovation In The Sun, il joue en Novembre pour les 5 ans d'Innovation a Amsterdam puis a Londres au cote de 100 Dj's pour Innovation NYE et relance son label Under Pressure Records en digital pour 2011. Quand a Otis, doit-on encore presenter notre parrain a tous? Il apporte en 1993 la Jungle dans ses bagages, et cree un an apres les soirees « Jungle Vibes », ou pendant deux ans tous les plus grands DJ’s d’Outre Manche se succederont. DJ et producteur de renommee internationale, quand il ne joue pas aux Etats-Unis ou en Angleterre, il aime denicher de nouveaux talents, tel que Tha Trickaz et Dirtyphonics... Ce soir notre duo prefere nous servira comme a son habitude un set dont il a le secret…

The outcome: Innovation has become the number one promoter on the drum and bass scene and keeps winning numerous awards year after year, particularly with Innovation in the Sun, winner for 7 years in a row. The world’s biggest drum and bass music festival welcomes ravers from all around the planet, meeting up for a week of 24hour party. Not to mention the resident events in Germany, Czech Republic, Tenerife and the famous Innovation in the Dam, held in Amsterdam every year, celebrating its 5th anniversary in 2010, where over 4000 people party the whole week end.
For this second edition in Paris, Innovation put together a line up of 14 artist, mixing styles and variety in order to get you the best spectrum of drum and bass, with a touch of true British vibe.

What more can we say about say about Bad Company. With its members including DJ Fresh and D Bridge, who decided to carry on their successful solo careers, or Maldini and Vegas with their label Bad Taste and their third album released this year; this group has made a revolution in the world of drum and bass music since 1999. Maldini, respected producer, and DJ Fresh have created one of the biggest dnb tune “The Nine”. Maldini, also a very talented dj, playing clean and precise sets, needed a versatile MC. There comes Evil B, whose career started in 1996 under the official name of B Live on the UK Garage scene. He recorded several tracks with Craig David, Elephant Man and Wiley and also won for four consecutive years the best MC Award. Feeling comfortable with all styles, from grime to reggae, or on the mic on a UK Funky night, MC Evil B will perform the extend of his talent with his very uncommon voice tone.

In 1998 he creates his label, undiluted, and releases a big hit with artists such as Chase and Status, Dj Zinc, Pascal, Genotype, Kane, and the one he produced with Ed Solo. For his first visit in Paris, an other legend, MC Shabba, will perform on the mic. For over 15 years his name is regularly coming up in the top 5; he is one of the best lyricist and his energy on stage is as famous as Andy C’s technique. Anakyne has gone a long way since his debut in 1998. He initiated the Infiltration crew, created the label “Under Pressure Records” followed by a second one, “New Hope Records”. He set up the events “Release the Pressure” at the OPA as well as “Flavor of the Month” at the Batofar for 3 years. After playing at the past 2 editions of Innovation in the Sun and for the fifth Anniversary of Innovation in the Dam in November, Anakyne will play in London along with 100 artists for Innovation NYE and also launch back his first record label in digital in 2011. Do we need to present our godfather Otis yet again? He brought Jungle over in his luggage in 1993 and created the event “Jungle Vibes” a year later, where famous djs from abroad came to play at. World acclaimed dj and producer, when Otis is not on the decks in the States or in the UK, he likes to hunt fresh talents, such as Tha Tricka and Dirtyphonics. Tonight our favourite duo will serve us a set full of their usual secret tricks.
